Description

🥣 Science of Cooking 

A hands-on program where children explore real science concepts through everyday cooking. Each session uses a simple recipe to help students observe, test, and understand how ingredients change through heat, mixing, and time. Kids learn by doing, tasting, and reflecting on each step of the process.

Recipes and science topics we explore include:

  • No-bake energy bites to explore mixing, ratios, and texture
  • Melting chocolate treats to observe heat and temperature changes
  • Gelatin cups to study setting and cooling
  • Microwave cakes to see chemical and physical changes during cooking
  • Butter or whipped cream experiments to understand agitation and state changes
  • Color-changing drinks or layered snacks to explore density and liquids

Skills students develop:

  • Fine motor control through pouring, stirring, and assembling
  • Early measurement and math awareness
  • Scientific thinking and questioning
  • Focus and independence
  • Following multi-step instructions
  • Kitchen safety and tool use

Whether your child is mixing ingredients, watching food change, or tasting a final result, this class builds curiosity, confidence, and foundational science understanding through cooking.

🚫🥜 Nut Free Program

This program uses nut free recipes and common, school safe ingredients. We do not use peanuts or tree nuts. Families are notified in advance of any ingredients used, and we follow strict food handling and safety practices.

Make-Up Class Dates: March 23rd, 2026

If a class is canceled by Odin Wise Academy due to weather, facility closure, coach emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will hold make-up classes. Make-up classes are offered only if the session is canceled by Odin Wise Academy.


💵 Enrollment & Billing Policy

  • Open Enrollment: Families can sign up at any time. Each class is a stand-alone session, so there’s no long-term commitment.

  • Mid‑Program Start: Joining mid-program? Payments are prorated from your first class, so your child won’t miss out.

  • Monthly Billing: Tuition is billed monthly. To cancel, please email us at least 3 weeks before your next billing cycle.

  • Transfers: If your child moves to another school mid‑program, free transfers are available if space permits.

  • No Refunds: Once a payment is made, it is non‑refundable.

  • Odin Wise Cancellations: If we cancel a class and no make‑up date is scheduled, you will receive a full refund for the canceled session(s).

Participants must be 2 years and 11 months to 6 years old when the program starts.

Registration period
