Description

The SkyBot Showdown Drone Robotics program offers an exciting educational experience centered around competitive aerial drones. Designed to provide hands-on, student-centered learning, this program equips participants with essential skills in drone technology, flight principles, programming, and documentation. Students will also develop communication skills and gain insights into drone-related career opportunities.

 

What to Expect

  1. Comprehensive Equipment: Each team will use a drone, controller, computer for programming, and necessary spare parts such as batteries, motors, and propellers.

  2. Team Collaboration: Students will learn the importance of teamwork as they collaborate in teams to pilot and program their drones, documenting their process in a competition logbook.

  3. Autonomous Flight Skills Challenge: Students will program their drones to operate entirely autonomously, competing alone to score as many points as possible in a one-minute match.

  4. Piloting Skills Challenge: Students will pilot their drones through an obstacle course, aiming to score the highest points in a one-minute match. This challenge tests their precision and control in real-time flight conditions.

  5. Judging and Documentation: Teams will present their drones, programming techniques, and competition logbooks to judges, showcasing their understanding and innovation in drone technology.
