Description

Program Overview

Our Intro to FLL Challenge program is specifically designed for students who are new to robotics or have never competed in a competitive program. Aimed at providing a solid foundation in robotics and engineering, this program introduces students to the exciting world of the FIRST LEGO League Challenge. Participants will engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering as they build and program a LEGO robot to navigate the missions of a robot game. The ultimate goal is to prepare these young engineers for more advanced competitions, ultimately aiming for world competitions.

What to Expect

  1. Hands-On Learning: Students will gain practical experience in building and programming LEGO robots. They will learn the basics of robotics and engineering through hands-on activities that are both educational and fun.

  2. Problem-Solving & Research: Participants will engage in research projects that require them to think critically and creatively. They will develop problem-solving skills as they work to find innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

  3. Scratch-Based Coding: Using Scratch, an intuitive and visual programming language, students will learn to code their robots to perform specific tasks and navigate through various missions. This introduces them to fundamental coding concepts and logical thinking.

  4. Team Collaboration: Working in small teams, students will learn to communicate and collaborate effectively. They will develop teamwork skills as they work together to design, build, and program their robots.

  5. Friendly Competition: At the heart of the FLL Challenge is friendly competition. Students will participate in local competitions where they can showcase their robots and the skills they have learned. This provides a motivating and exciting environment for learning and growth.

  6. Mentorship & Guidance: Experienced coaches will guide students through the learning process, providing support, encouragement, and expert advice. They will ensure that each participant is well-prepared and confident in their abilities.

Join our Intro to FLL Challenge program and embark on a journey into the world of competitive robotics, laying the groundwork for future success in advanced robotics competitions and preparing to compete on a global stage!
